How Many Libraries Could The World's Top Authors Fill?

Selling in excess of 13 billion copies of their work across the world combined, they are some of the most well-known and best-loved authors.

Famed for their books about wizards named Harry, creating detectives names Poirot and Miss Marple and star-crossed lovers Romeo and Juliet, these authors make up the top 10 bestselling authors in the world.

Having sold such an incredible number of books it’s hard to visuale just how successful each author is. However, we’ve worked out how many times each top author could fill the world’s largest library which is home to 39 million books, the Library of Congress in Washington.

Take a look at the graphic below to see how many libraries each author would need if they were to take the number of books they have sold and fill up the Library of Congress with their books.
