The sheer amount of detail in this book is outstanding, with every plumage covered it really is a one stop volume to I.D. all the birds of the Britis Isles.Dont be put off by the fact that it is a photographic guide as opposed to paintings, the numbers and quality of the photos are a credit to the authors. What I also like is the lack of extraneous birds that are unlikely to be seen in the region.A great addition to the birding bookcase.
