Love this book and the service from wordery. The book was a gift for my nephews and niece and they absolutely love it. There is the main pop up dinosaurs which are amazing and then smaller pop ups with educational information. There are even pop ups within pop ups. Truly a great book for any dinosaur lover.
A delightful book, I was impressed by this book when a child who attends an after school club I work at brought it in to show us all and I then decided to buy it for my sons birthday and I'm sure he is going to love it! The book has great detail and amazing pop ups which children will love and learn from. On a side note ordering from wordery was easy and smooth, my book choice was cheaper here than other sites, was received less than 48hrs after purchase and even better the delivery was free! Packaging was great, robust and kept my book dry in the awful rain the postman had to battle! Would recommend wordery and I will certainly will look to using them again in the future :)
What an amazing gift for a child. We have one at work for the children and I have also bought 2 more. Genius. I have even ordered one for when a child in a few years time just in case they don't publish it anymore!
I bought this for a young chap whose obsession with dinosaurs usually involves plastic figurines and blockbuster movie tie-ins. Suffice to say that Sabuda and Reinhart have reacquainted him with wonders of paper. The pop-ups are a delight: whether a skeleton that virtually assembles itself before your eyes or terrifying jaws that spring from the pages, they make for a wonderfully vivid learning experience. Smaller displays at the periphery of the pages convey nuggets of information in language that is accessible without being patronising. An impressive use of art in the service of palaeontology. Highly recommended.
Matthew Reinhart is the co-creator of the Encyclopedia Prehistorica and Encyclopedia Mythologica series. He has also created many other award-winning pop-up books, including Star Wars: The Pop-up Guide to the Universe and Mommy? by Maurice Sendak and Arthur Yorinks. He lives in New York City.Robert Sabuda is the co-creator of the Encyclopedia Prehistorica and Encyclopedia Mythologica books. He is also the creator of many other best-selling pop-up books, including America the Beautiful, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. He lives in New York City.
