Cup of tea? Drop of milk? A spoonful of poison? At first sight, nothing would make the very select Green Manor club stand out from any other English club. Yet, behind its thick walls, sunk into its deep chairs, hides the biggest bunch of con- artists, bandits and murderers Queen Victoria's England has ever seen.
Green Manor: Inconvenience of Being Dead v. 2 Paperback edition by Fabien Vehlmann
Fabien Vehlmann, 37, made his debut with Green Manor. Recognized immediately as one of the cleverest scriptwriters of his generation, he has written many successful graphic novels, such as "The Marquis of Anaon," a Spirou one-shot, and a new series "Alone." The drawings of Denis Bodart, 45, entered the graphic novel world in 1985. He has tried his hand at all genres of comic books. Denis received the best drawing award in 2006 for Green Manor Part II from the Belgian Chamber of Experts in graphic novels.

A collection of kitsch and kooky images with facts and weird tales. Its coverage includes from ghastly ghouls and racy romances; through wise-guy gangsters and vampish vixens; right up to battle-scarred heroes and outer space adventures.
Whether you are a serious comic collector, a devoted Watchmen fan, or simply have fond memories of the comics you once read as a child, 1001 Comic Books You Must Read Before You Die is the book for you.
