Milk and Honey is a #1 New York Times bestselling poetry collection with poems on survival, loss, abuse, love, and femininity. Split into four chapters, each section deals with different things - different pains and heartaches, and different ways of healing. Milk and Honey tackles some of life's most bitter moments but it also shows the sweetness that exists in life, and proves that all you need to do is look for it.
Transport Yourself Through The Pages of Milk and Honey
Milk and Honey is a book of poems and simple line illustrations that capture the mood of each stage from 4 subjects.
It's one of those books that you can read, leave and pick back up very easiler, it's also very good at moving you into refection about past, present relationships and how you feel and felt in those moments.
This whole book talks about some pretty big topics but I think the author did it in a really good way. The poems were quick and easy to read while also being full of heavy material. It was interesting to read such a short book while also feeling like it was really long. I'm looking forward to reading her other work!

Beautiful literature
Amazing! Raw and unapologetic. Speaks directly to you and every woman can relate to the themes explored. A must read!
When she was five, her mother handed her a paintbrush and said, "draw your heart out." Rupi Kaur views her life as an exploration of that artistic journey. Through her poetry and illustrations, she engages with love, loss, trauma, healing, and femininity. For Rupi, writing has always been a collective experience. At the age of seventeen she began sharing her work. The stage was her first love and spoken word is where she found her voice. Rupi pursued her love for language by studying rhetoric at the University of Waterloo. She began working on her first collection milk and honey, which eventually became a New York Times bestseller. Rupi's passion is expression. For her that expression takes many forms. Her photography and art direction are brought to various spaces around the world and her poetry and prose are breaking international boundaries.
