Sick and crazy. LOVED IT.
I don't even now where to start with this one.
It's absolutely, 100%, entirely messed up. Is that a good beginning enough?!
Six teenagers, three girls and three guys from all over the United States, get accepted in this prestigious prep school in New York. It'll be the beginning of something new and definitely different, a neat cut from all they were used to before, their path towards knowledge and.. more.
Forgive me for being such a cliché for saying this but.. this was one helluva a surprise. I believe the less you know about it, the better you will enjoy it. Go into it blindly and be ready to meet complete madness.
You can literally expect anything from this book. Betrayals, murders, (physical and meraphorical) stabbing in the backs, love interests, friendships, laughters and pain. It was something else, something different and fun but in a dark and twisted way.
FYI, this graphic novel is so unrealistic. And bloody. If you start asking yourself whys and whats and hows, it'll be torture, the unpleasant kind. It is crazy and all over the place, but at the same time it couldn't be any other way and I honestly wouldn't want it any other way.
I should be (and I am) worried for saying it, but the more twisted the characters were, the more I was digging it. They're smart and cunning and unreliable and that was the pure beauty of it.
THE ART WAS @*#&ING GORGEOUS.
That's all I can say about it. It's totally my new favorite graphic novel out there in the world. And that's final. I need volume 2, desperately. Peace out.
