A Brilliant Sequel to an Extraordinary Fantasy Series
Love, hate, revenge, friendship and cruelty, together with magic, fashion, witches, Fae, books, music, assassins and warriors. Throne of Glass is one of the best fantasy series that I have ever read (and I have read lots of them). You can relate to all the characters who are not portrayed as invincible heroes but rather as human beings who also make mistakes. The plot is gripping and sometimes it seems that there cannot be any happy ending and everything is lost - but then a twist comes and we witness captivating scenes of heroism, acts of friendship and (just as in previous books) - hilarious dialogues. The message is clear - good triumphs over evil and no fight against terror is hopeless.
I am re-reading the whole series now and cannot but marvel at its thoughtfulness and complexity. There are no annoying 'deus ex machina' moments, on the contrary, all the seemingly unimportant scenes turn out to be vital for future developments of the plot. To sum up, if you are a fantasy-loving female, definitely give it a go.
