Great book, a must for ARM assembly language programmers starting off!
I haven't programming assembly language in years - an old hobby going back to 6502 & 80x86 days!
Recently I decided to get back into assembly but with ARM processors, as there are so many mobile devices these days. And Raspberry PI is a good starting point.
My first step was to go online and find documentation, e.g. processor details, memory map, instruction set, mnemonics list... but this wasn't as straight forward as I initially thought. After days of reading snippets of information and code, I came across Bruce's book! I made the small investment and bought this book. I haven't been able to put it down. It's just fantastic! It covers everything one needs to get up and running to code assembly language (under Raspbian).
This book is not just for beginners, it also contains information for those at the intermediate level, and it touches on some advanced topics.
In my opinion this book is 10/10 and a must for anybody starting off or getting back into assembly language programming on the ARM v6 processor (Raspberry PI). It's saved me alot of time by having all the required information I needed in one place.
Thanks Bruce for this valuable resource!
