Beautifully written and haunting. I have read several of his books but this is my favourite.
Despite having lived in the US couldn't understand some of the language - this detracted a bit from the book. It wasn't until a third to half the way through that I really started enjoying the book. Overall I found it disappointing considering the rave reviews and can't help thinking that I might have missed something!
Very interesting read
I did enjoy reading this book and couldn't put it down. On the whole I preferred "Purge", which I found even more powerful and shocking. I learned a lot about Estonian history in the last century along the way.
Wish more of her books were translated into English.
