In the middle of the Forever Evil event, the Justice League have vanished, and the Belle Reve Penitentiary is in crisis. Prisoners have escaped from their cells, and trapped inside with them is the head of Task Force X, Amanda Waller. But on the outside of the prison, what remains of the Suicide Squad are regrouping under Waller's instruction, and have arrived at their destination to find something very odd indeed: a second Suicide Squad!
Both claim to be following Waller's instructions, but who has been played? And who is playing them? As Harley Quinn goes AWOL (again), the two teams must unite if they are to save the world from potential destruction. And the aftermath causes huge shakeups within the Squad, shakeups that reach all the way to Waller herself!
This, the final volume in the New 52 run of Suicide Squad finishes with a flourish. The story is excellent, and the art remains stunning.
