One of my favorite reading of THE YEAR!
I love this book so much. Compare it to, 'The Hunger Games' are NOTHING.
The deaths are so cruel and (sometimes) gross. The scenes are so crude.
I mean these kids get 'called' in a parallel universe called Grey Land where they are completely NAKED and they need to fight with an entire population and survive for an ENTIRE DAY! And not only, they can even get touched by the Sidhe because only their touch means unbearable pain and probably death (or WORSE). -- GOD, I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH!
The writing is so captivating and it is quite impossible to put the book down even at the end of the chapter. This is also because the next chapter is probably someone's call and you eager to know if the kid is going to survive.
In conclusion, I want to add other points to the book for diversity: the main character had polio when she was a little girl and she can't walk properly without any help. How will she survive in a run to survive contest?
