Few science subjects explained for non scientific person
"In science we are all kids". These are the word from the review that Bill Gates did to The Magic of Reality written by Richard Dawinks. Himself a biologist explains complex scientific questions through simple language so a kid can learn What is the Sun? or Why do bad things happen? These are presented in opposition to myths and current religion as magic in the sense of beautiful nature phenomenons. The book is for younger audiences or adults for which sciences were not a major concern in their formation.
"There is much that remains deeply mysterious, and it is not likely that we will ever uncover all the secrets of a universe as vast as ours; but, armed with science, we can at least ask sensible, meaningful questions about it and recognize credible answers when we find them. We don't have to invent wildly implausible stories; we have the joy and excitement of real scientific investigation and discovery to keep our imaginations in line. And in the end that is more exciting than fantasy." - Richard Dawkins
