'We should all be feminists' is a one sitting read.
“Some people ask: “Why the word feminist? Why not just say you are a believer in human rights, or something like that?” Because that would be dishonest. Feminism is, of course, part of human rights in general—but to choose to use the vague expression human rights is to deny the specific and particular problem of gender. It would be a way of pretending that it was not women who have, for centuries, been excluded. It would be a way of denying that the problem of gender targets women.”
'We should all be feminists' is a one sitting read. I swear I never do a one sitting read but this book was so short and fast that I actually read it while I was waiting for my best friend to get ready before going out.
There are really few paragraphs but they are all so strong and powerful. I am always pissed off for the way women are treated in a lot of environment but there are also country where women don't even have the freedom that I always gave for granted.
Every single time I read a book about feminism I become even more feminist than before. Even if I didn't think it was possible.
